Before you decide which type of skirting board you want, it is best to first look at the finish of the walls. Are they nicely plastered down to the floor? If so, you can choose almost any type of skirting board. If not, a standard skirting board of 8 cm or a low skirting board of 6 cm is more suitable. If you have an existing skirting board or cables that you need to conceal, then add-on skirting boards are the best option.
